Question: Do I have to be in Law Enforcement, Security or the Military to join IAEPA?
Answer: Yes. Our training programs and membership is geared toward Law Enforcement, Security and Military personnel only. However, membership into the IAEPA is handled on a case-by-case basis.

 
Question: How long does it take to finish your CETA Instructor Program?
Answer: The CETA program is a "Train-at-Your-Own-Pace" program. On average it takes approximately 6 to 12 months to complete the program. However, finishing times may vary on a case by case basis.

 
Question: What is CETA?
Answer: CETA stands for Close-Engagement-Target-Acquisition and was developed by Professor Leonard Holifield specifically for use by Law Enforcement, Security and Military personnel. It is an integrated fighting system which incorporates several martial arts into one effective fighting system. CETA takes into consideration the proper mind-set needed to be effective and the most effective means of quickly stopping an aggressive physical assault.

 
Question: What will CETA Certification do for me?
Answer: CETA Instructor Certification will give you the necessary skills needed to be an effective close-quarter combat instructor, fully capable of training Law Enforcement, Security and Military personnel. Upon successful completion of the CETA program, you will receive highly weighted instructor credentials that are respected throughout the Security, Military and Law Enforcement industry.

 
Question: What about re-certification? Some organizations require annual re-certification training and fee to remain active in their organization, do you as well?
Answer: No. We do not require an annual re-certification fee. Once you are instructor certified you become a Lifetime member of the IAEPA and receive all of the full benefits that our members receive, to include free periodic training updates, on-line and personal assistance from the president to answer any training questions you may have at no extra charge.

 
Question: What are your qualifications and training?
Answer: Over 36 years of combined Military, Security, Law Enforcement and Martial Arts experience. See Founders page for detailed curriculum vitae and career information.

 
Question: If I decide to go through any of your "Instructor Certification" programs, do I also have to pay a membership fee of $50.00 (Associate Membership) or $100.00 (Lifetime Membership)?
Answer: No. All "Instructor Certification Programs" come with a Lifetime Membership into the IAEPA.

 
Question: Will I be able to get a job as a full time instructor after completing your training program(s)?
Answer: We do not "guarantee" job placement after completing our training programs. We do, however, take pride in producing some of the most highly trained and competent instructors in the United States. It is up to the graduated student to be aggressive in the job market in selling and marketing him/herself to the prospective client. This organization acts as verifying authority of your skills and competency, and we may be contacted directly to verify and confirm your training and skills.
